The purpose of the current research is to evaluate the seismic power of faults in Bilehsawar area. In this research, Arc GIS software was used to draw maps and analyze them. First, using the 1:100,000 geological map of the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization of the country in the studied basin, the faults (main and minor) were determined and their length was determined. Then the seismic power of the faults in the region was determined using the relations of Zare (1374), Nowrozi (1985) and Norouzi and Ashjajei (1978). According to the results, that the average seismic power in terms of Richter in faults Haji Mahmoud Qarakekil is 4.53, Gurchinlo Hajibuyok 4.09, Haji Ismail Iman Khan 4.37, Haji Ghadratkandi 4.80, Qeshlaq Aqborun 4.38, Shabikandi 5.03, Idealo 5.24, Kohl Qashlaq 4.56, Haji Nuresh Kandi 4.32, Qashlaq Mahmoodlar 4.47, Qashlaq Haj Akbar 4.39, Jahan Khanamlu 3.75 and Chai Qashlaghi Siab is 3.53. The results showed that the studied area, especially the central parts to the south of the basin due to the concentration of fault lines, is prone to seismicity and in general and there is a possibility of earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 4 on the Richter scale. Idealo, Shabikandi, and Haji Gharatkandi faults respectively have the highest seismic power in the region. Studies also show that there is a direct relationship between the seismic power of faults and the length of the fault.
