The energy production system is the heart in underwater and is one of its main systems and assurance in accuracy of its performance in specific situations is really important. First of all, the primary reliability of the system is estimated by modeling reliability using diagram block method, and then the system reliability is optimized by using two approaches; reliability improvement and “redundancy” technique. After that the torque is detected as the basic part responsible for decreasing reliability, the reliability was increased by replacing the torque with a new one with a lower failure rate. Due to improvement of system reliability, the optimized structure of the energy production system was defined with optimizing reliability approach by using instruments of states and effects analysis, in addition to detecting reasons of failure and estimation of risk priority numbers based on related results, using system “redundancy”, modeling optimization functions and solving models equations, by GAMS software. Therefore the proposed “redundancy” with reliability optimization approach with simple parallel structure is able to have three diodes in every leg parallel. Over all “redundancy” with reliability optimization approach with the proposed simple parallel structure, can have two parallel systems.
