This study was conducted to investigate internal waves and turbulent wake effect behind a cylindrical body in a linear stratified environment in laboratory. In this work, in a glass tank with dimensions of 3×1×0.5 (m), a linear stratification with buoyancy frequency (N) of 0.51 (s-1), was set up. Then a cylindrical body of 6 cm diameter and 45 cm long was towed in the fluid, while changing the Froude and Reynolds numbers of the flow and the effect of these changes on the formation of the internal waves and wake of the cylinder, at speeds of 5 mm/s to 4.5 cm/s, using a computer controlled system, were examined. In this work shadowgraphs technique was used to capture the flow. The results show that the presence of internal waves depend on changes of Froude and Reynolds numbers of the flow, and maximum internal waves activities were found when Froude number was tended to the critical values of one; the wavelength of the internal waves  was also increased with Froude number. In the range of the supercritical Froude number the flow consisted of a turbulence wake in the environment, also relatively increasing irregular shorter waves were observed around the cylinder. Detection of such waves at a distance from the cylinder was one of the objective of the present work.}, keywords = {stratified fluid tank,internal waves,buoyancy frequency,shadowgraph technique,Froude number}, title_fa = {مطالعۀ آزمایشگاهی امواج درونی ناشی از حرکت یک جسم استوانه‌ای در یک شارۀ چینه‌بندی شده}, abstract_fa = {یکی از پدیده‌هایی که در محیط چینه‌بندی اقیانوس و حضور یک نیروی خارجی رخ می‌دهد، امواج درونی است. این مطالعه به‌منظور بررسی آزمایشگاهی  ویک پشت یک جسم استوانه‌ای در محیطی با چینه‌بندی خطی انجام شده است. در محیط آزمایشگاهی در یک تانک شیشه‌ای به ابعاد 0/5×1×3 متر به کمک روش خطی با فرکانس شناوری 0/51 بر ثانیه چینه‌بندی صورت گرفت. در این محیط با استفاده از یک ارابه که حرکت آن به‌وسیلۀ برنامه رایانه‌ای کنترل می‌شود، یک جسم استوانه‌ای با قطر 6 سانتی‌متر و پهنای  45 سانتی‌متر، برای بررسی تغییر در اعداد فرود و رینولدز محیط و تأثیر این تغییرات بر شکل‌گیری امواج درونی پشت استوانه، با سرعت‌های  5 میلی‌متر بر ثانیه تا 4/5 سانتی‌متر بر ثانیه حرکت داده شد. با استفاده از روش تصویربرداری از سایه از این محیط تصویربرداری شد. نتایج حضور امواج درونی را با وابستگی به تغییرات  فرکانس شناوری محیط (N)، عدد فرود و عدد رینولدز نشان داد. همچنین مشخص شد که با افزایش عدد فرود تا عدد فرود بحرانی، فعالیت امواج درونی و طول‌موج آن‌ها بیشتر شده است. در محدوده عدد فرود فوق بحرانی نیز که با تلاطم محیط همراه است، امواج بلند به‌نسبت منظم و امواج کوتاه‌تر نامنظم دیده شد.}, keywords_fa = {محیط چینه‌بندی شده,امواج درونی,فرکانس شناوری,روش تصویربرداری از سایه,عدد فرود}, url = {https://www.hydrophysics.ir/article_31958.html}, eprint = {https://www.hydrophysics.ir/article_31958_1b1fd633c9ad92991822ea604f393121.pdf} }
