In this paper, the flow around an AUV is simulated by using CFD method and control volume approach. The first, simulation is performed for straight – line towing test to compare the results with experimental data and apply a suitable grid and turbulence model. With this steady method only static coefficients achieved. To simulate pure heave motion, flow domain is divided into two zones that AUV adjacent zone with body oscillate with udf program. By using moving mesh method, outside domain cells change. Thus, pure heave motion simulated unsteady. In this paper, the effects of changes in the amplitude and frequency oscillation model on pure heave motion have been investigated. Output graphs of fluent converted to hydrodynamics coefficient by developing a Matlab program. The results show that some of the coefficients are independent of the amplitude and oscillation frequency of the model.
