The danger of oil spill pollution in rivers around refineries, oil constructions and commercial fleet due to natural and unexpected disasters is noteworthy. Arvand River is one of the most important shipping waterway at the border of Iran and Iraq, and a large number of oil tankers go through, in which makes the risk of oil pollution doubled. In order to simulate the hydrodynamic of the River, a structured two-dimensional flow model from DHI mike 21 package was employed. This numerical model has been developed based on the Eulerian method and has been used to determine the flow pattern of water by solving continuity and momentum equations (depth integrated Navier Stokes equations). The model has calibrated and results are verified by measured water level and water velocity data. Consequently, the outputs of HD module are imported into the oil spill Analysis (OSA) module. The analysis module of oil applies a particle lagrangian method to predict the concentration and thickness of the spilled oil. Findings of the OSA module indicated, in the event that oil spills for three hours at the Abadan refinery position at the beginning of ebb, it will reach to the sea in 124 hours in no wind in discharge of 480 m3/s condition
